Luangwa Valley concessions offer a world class prime free-range hunting experience that many consider to be the best in all of Africa. Sharing boundaries with the North and South Luangwa National parks, hunting camps in these areas offer excellent dangerous game hunts and stunning wildlife encounters. These concessions are known for impressive Buffalo and Leopard populations and plenty of Elephant and Lion, while carrying some of the largest Plains Game populations in all of Africa as well. This region of Zambia is the only place where Cookson Wildebeest may be hunted. There are two preferred methods of travel to/from Luangwa.  The first is by daily commercial flights from Lusaka to the Mfuwe Airport. This is a one-hour flight and costs approximately $600.00 per person round trip (price is subject to change) but there is a 2-to-7-hour drive to camp, depending upon which one.
